One Ocean Expeditions launches New Certified OOE Agent Program
The end of the 2018-19 Antarctic season saw One Ocean Expeditions (OOE) welcome the first group of agents participating in the new OOE Agent Certified FAM Programme. Agents from around the world including the UK, Europe, North America, Australia and China joined OOE hosts for a 10-night voyage to the Antarctic Peninsula on board RCGS Resolute.
Subsequent agent groups will sail on the brand new Chilean Fjords expedition and the Costa Rica and Panama Canal trip.
Agents taking part in the programme will not only experience the incredible landscapes, wildlife and small-group activities OOE would provide to their guests, they also have the opportunity to graduate as a Certified OOE Agent opening up a wealth of agent perks and benefits.
OOE has tailor-made the Certified Agent Programme with the aim to develop specially trained experts with first-hand experience of OOE’s dedication to customer service, commitment to safety, creative and innovative itinerary planning, their core values and, most importantly, their sense of adventure.
OOE is welcoming agents with a good understanding of their core product combined with the drive to learn and the willingness to continually develop their knowledge year on year.
During the FAM voyages agents will be able to take part in all the excursions on offer, from hiking on land and zodiac cruising the bays to attending presentations by special guests and wildlife viewing from the bridge.
Alongside enjoying the expedition and the destination, agents will participate in a modular programme of presentations and discussions hosted by specialist OOE staff. Four one-hour modules will cover ‘The OOE Difference’, ‘Vessel & Cabin Information’, ‘Destinations’ and ‘The Booking Process’.
Agents will find out how to recognise an OOE client and will take away new-found knowledge on OOE’s fleet of three vessels, the range of destinations on offer and, finally, how to work with OOE’s comprehensive sales toolkit and how to book a OOE voyage. At the end of each module, a multiple-choice quiz will decide if they are to pass the module.
Once back in their offices, an agreement to train their fellow team members and to participate in an online survey completes the agent’s certification.
For graduate agents, OOE is offering a fantastic array of perks including a certificate of completion, specialist swag, travel credit toward an OOE voyage and specialist FAM rates for agents and their spouses.
Valid for one-year, Certified OOE Agents will be able to extend their specialist rating and accompanying benefits through various ways. Well-known for maintaining close relationships with their travel trade partners, OOE is extremely pleased to be able to offer yet another means to strengthen these partnerships – old and new – through the Certified Agent Programme.
