Awesome new record during the amazing spectacular conveyance of AIDAnova by AIDA Cruises from shipyard MEYER WERFT in Papenburg (Germany) to the North Sea on 09.10.2018 across the river Ems.

The AIDAnova is with round about 183,900 GT by far the largest cruise ship that the shipyard MEYER WERFT has so far transferred on the Ems. The AIDAnova is at the same time the largest cruise ship in the world that has ever sailing on such a small river.

At the time of its construction, AIDAnova is by far the largest cruise ship ever built in Germany and also the world’s first cruise ship, which can be operated primarily with LNG. The turn around of the AIDAnova shown in the penultimate scene in the entrance to the port of Emden was filmed from a distance of over six kilometers.
