Winter escapes with Pullmantur Cruises

Pullmantur Cruceros (Logo)With summer drawing to a close, many will head into hibernation for the winter months in an attempt to avoid the cold and rainy conditions that lie ahead. But, while cruise ships may temporarily be withdrawing their vessels from the Mediterranean, this does not necessarily mean that there are no opportunities for a holiday escape.

Throughout the winter season, Pullmantur Cruises will operate a series of itineraries to some of the most beautiful regions in the world including new and previously unvisited areas. These sailings offer a chance to escape the bitter cold winter and soak up the sun while enjoying a unique all-inclusive cruising experience – with all drinks, meals, onboard entertainment and much more included in the cost of your fare. So, without further ado, we take a look at four of the cruising opportunities to look into between November and February.

Arabia
2018 marks the first year in which Pullmantur Cruises will be operating sailings within the Arabian Peninsula and are definitely not to be missed. Departing out of the impressive city of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, these seven-night roundtrip sailings offer a chance to visit a range of coastal towns and cities within the region. You will be able to marvel 16th century forts in the Omani capital of Muscat and relax on the beaches of UAE’s lesser-known Fujairah. There is also a chance to explore Abu Dhabi, which is known for its dazzling range of shopping malls, as well as the impressive Sheikh Zayed Mosque.

Brazil (Atlantic Crossing)
If you really are looking to escape it all, an Atlantic crossing may be the best option for you. Getting about as far away from land as possible, you can appreciate the calm motion of the sea as you embark on a journey to South America out of Barcelona. There will be opportunities to dock in the Canary Islands and Cape Verde before reaching the Brazilian port of Recife – one of the nation’s most vibrant and colourful cities. Often referred to as the ‘Venice of Brazil’, it also offers a tropical beach resort upon which visitors can enjoy tropical relaxation.

Canary Islands
While it may not be possible to embark on a Mediterranean cruise during the winter months, you only have to travel slightly further afield to find warmer weather. The Canary Islands offer perfect respite during the winter months, offering an abundance of golden beaches, breath-taking natural landmarks and charming settlements. Setting off from Tenerife (departure port subject to change), you will be able to enjoy the delights of La Palma, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria. There will also be opportunities to visit Madeira and the Moroccan port of Agadir.

Caribbean
It’s easy to see why the Caribbean is the ultimate cruise destination and the winter season is undoubtedly the best time to visit. These sailings from Pullmantur Cruises offer the chance to relax on the beaches of a series of islands as well as calling into destinations throughout Central America. Departing out of Colon in Panama – which offers a chance to admire the Panama Canal – you will be able to enjoy the delights of Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and Costa Rica before returning to Panama.
