Oslo Publishes Crew Manual

See Oslo in 3 minutes

Recognising the importance of the crew enjoying the city of Oslo and hence their ability to pass on tips to passengers, Oslo Cruise Partners has published a crew manual.

It details everything from discounts for crew on various tours and, for example, entry to The Norwegian Opera & Ballet and Tusenfryd Amusement Park as well as free entry to museums such as The Viking Ship Museum and The Nobel Peace Center.

Agnes Mathiesen, project manager cruise Oslo Cruise Partners, explained: “This manual is new, we did not have one in Oslo earlier. We recognize the importance of the crew enjoying Oslo. I used to work onboard, and this is something we were missing in most destinations. We know that passengers ask the crew where to go and what to do while in Oslo. We hope that this will encourage more crew to go ashore and explore the city.”

Equally important is to “give something back to the crew, being such wonderful ambassadors to Oslo”.

Details of restaurants/cafes offering free wifi and/or discounts are also listed along with shops. All these are clearly marked on a map.
