Part of the reason is to be found in the unique partnerships between tourism operators at the destination.

Copenhagen receives high ratings in all categories of the survey from the airport, transport and accommodation to the restaurants, attractions and local hospitality. On a scale from 1-5, all categories are rated higher than 4.

According to Director of CruiseCopenhagen, Claus Bødker, the high level of guest satisfaction is a result of a unique collaboration between CruiseCopenhagen and a wide range of partners at the destination.

”I have no doubt that the strong collaboration between the partners in CruiseCopenhagen, is one of the main reasons for the high level of guest satisfaction. The network successfully joins together the entire value chain in the Danish cruise tourism to secure the best experience for every visiting cruise ship, guest and crew member,” he says.

The news of the high satisfaction level amongst the Copenhagen cruise guests, was announced at CruiseCopenhagen’s annual General Assembly on the 23rd of April that took place in one of the world’s oldest amusement parks, Tivoli Gardens, in central Copenhagen. Tivoli is also one of the partners in Cruise Copenhagen’s growing network, which expanded by 20 percent during the last year. Today the group consists of 64 different partners.

Copenhagen is the major gateway to the Norwegian Fjords and the Baltic Sea. The majority of the cruise guests traveling to Copenhagen come from Germany, United States of America, United Kingdom, Italy and Spain. This year Copenhagen will be breaking record with 875,000 expected cruise guests.
