Saga Travel launches a brand new Holiday App
Saga Travel has this week launched their brand new free Holiday App.
Customers can use the app to see details of exactly what’s included in their holiday or cruise, stay one step ahead of the weather throughout their trip, get all the insights of the holiday destination, plus enhance their holiday or cruise by booking excursions and much, much more.
Saga Travel asked more than 9,000* over 50s what they wanted most from holiday company app when creating it. They said having access to their flight information (89%) was incredibly important, then ship information if on a cruise (83%), and a full summary of their holiday (82%) are the most essential features of such an app.
7 in 10 (68%) are also keen to use the “pay may balance” feature and 1 in 5 (17%) are excited to count down the days to their holiday departure date.
The new MySaga Holiday App includes the features:
A full summary of holiday or cruise
Holiday weather forecast
Passenger details
Excursions
Flight information, including baggage details
Ship information when on an Ocean or River cruise
A holiday countdown, which can be shared on Facebook and Twitter
Paying a holiday balance
Andrew Strong, chief executive of Saga’s Travel businesses said “Three-quarters (74%) of the over 50s have a smartphone or tablet these days and over one in eight (13%) of those are using a holiday company’s app, so we know how important it is for the savvy traveller to have up to the minute, easy access to their holiday or cruise details while they’re away. Our customers are now able to enhance their holiday whilst away by making changes and booking exciting excursions”.
