Oceanwide Expeditions first to circumnavigate Spitsbergen
Oceanwide Expedition vessels m/v Ortelius and m/v Plancius have managed a full circumnavigation of Spitsbergen as the first of any vessels this Arctic season.
Difficult ice conditions in southern Hinlopen Strait have until now made a passage impossible. Thanks to excellent teams onboard has managed to achieve this target in hopes that ice conditions will continue to improve to secure full circumnavigations for the rest of the season.
