SeaDream Yacht Club recently announced a more than $10 million dramatic upgrade and renovation project for twin yachts SeaDream I and SeaDream II. The project is now complete on board SeaDream II, and on March 26 SeaDream I goes into drydock for 54 days in Lisbon, Portugal to undergo identical renovations as SeaDream II. (more…)

SeaDream Yacht Club cut its voyage short, after a group of five passengers traveling together tested positive for COVID-19. Two more positive cases have also been confirmed, for a total of seven passengers, as well as one crew member. (cruisecritic.com)

SeaDream has decided to cancel sailing for the remainder of 2020 after positive Covid-19 test results. Multiple negative PCR tests were required before the guests boarded, but this was not sufficient to prevent Covid-19 onboard. (more…)

Seven passengers have tested positive for COVID-19 this week after boarding the first ship to set sail in the Caribbean since the pandemic sidelined the vessels earlier this year. One of the passengers aboard SeaDream Yacht Club’s SeaDream 1 has been hospitalized for observation, according to Sue Bryant, a passenger on the ship and cruise editor for The Times and The Sunday Times, who confirmed the details in an e-mail to FOX Business. SeaDream I has paused its current Caribbean voyage and returned to Barbados after guests’ tests for Covid-19 returned assumptive positive results. Immediately after performing the preliminary rapid Covid test onboard and receiving the assumptive positive results, SeaDream advised local health authorities and set in motion its Covid response protocols to protect guests and crew. Sailing into Portsmouth this week, SeaDream Yacht Club’s vessel, SeaDream 1, arrived to pick up passengers en route to the Caribbean. Following the outbreak of Covid-19, this was the first time a cruise ship had entered the UK since coronavirus lockdown restrictions were introduced. (portsmouth.co.uk)

SeaDream Yacht Club has announced a summer program in Norway for the Norwegian source market, running from June to September.
