Carnival Corporation Announces Donation to Direct Relief for Hurricane Recovery Efforts Across Hawai’i

Carnival Corporation & plc (logo)Carnival Corporation together with three of its world-class cruise lines – Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line and Princess Cruises – donated $25,000 to Direct Relief to support recovery efforts in Hawai’i following a series of hurricanes that have devastated the islands this season.

The combined $25,000 donation includes contributions from Carnival Corporation and each of the three cruise lines to assist immediate relief needs being managed by Direct Relief in the wake of Hurricane Nolo.

Funds will also support long-term recovery efforts in Hawai’i following Hurricanes Lala and Lowell, and several other powerful storms that have recently impacted the islands.

As the state’s leading cruise provider, Carnival Corporation cruise lines call more than 200 times annually to five different Hawai’ian destinations, including Nawiliwili, Kahului, Honolulu, Hilo and Kailua Kona. Each year, Hawai’i warmly welcomes approximately 528,000 guests who visit onboard one of the company’s cruise lines, eager to experience the rich culture and generous Hawai’ian hospitality that has made the state one of the most beloved cruise destinations anywhere.

Humanitarian organization Direct Relief, whose mission is to improve the health and lives of people affected by disasters, poverty or emergencies, is working with local health care providers, nonprofits and health agencies to determine ongoing recovery needs. Through its Hurricane Preparedness Program, Direct Relief has pre-positioned three emergency stockpiles of medical aid in Hawaiʻi, giving health care teams immediate access to medications and supplies commonly needed in the days following a hurricane. Direct Relief has also provided field medic packs to support triage care, water purification supplies and personal care items for displaced individuals and families.

Since the Kona Low storm system hit Hawaiʻi on March 10, 2026, followed later by Hurricanes Lala and Lowell, Direct Relief has provided more than $800,000 in medical aid to health centers, clinics, and nonprofit organizations across the islands, including Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition of Hawaiʻi and Hawaiʻi Island Community Health Center.
