Heritage Expeditions announces seven new voyages with release of new ship’s maiden 2027-28 season
Pioneering small-ship expedition cruise company Heritage Expeditions has added seven new voyages to its coveted sailing schedule following the release of new ship Heritage Discoverer’s maiden 2027-28 season today.
Formerly known as Silver Explorer, Heritage Discoverer’s highly-anticipated 2027-28 season sees the New Zealand-based family-owned and operated cruise company resume its renowned High Arctic and Antarctic Peninsula adventures, as well as adding exciting explorations of the European and Atlantic coasts to its expedition calendar.
Heritage Expeditions owners and Directors Aaron and Nathan Russ described the industry-leading cruise company’s new vessel and release of carefully curated itineraries as a pivotal moment in the company’s 40-plus year history.
“This is the beginning of a new era, and the arrival of a truly global expedition cruise offering for Heritage Expeditions and our guests,” said Nathan.
Aaron agreed.
“Today sees an exciting evolution of Heritage Expeditions as we chart a new course, while continuing our legacy of authentic, responsible small ship expedition travel to some of the wildest, least explored and biologically rich regions on the planet,” he said.

Heritage Expeditions new itineraries include an enticing mix of remote wilderness and wildlife expedition destinations for adventurous travellers including Svalbard, Iceland, Greenland, South Georgia, the Falklands and the Faroes, Hebrides, Orkney, Shetland and Channel Islands, with explorations of UNESCO World Heritage sites, prehistoric monuments, architectural wonders, culture capitals and renowned wine regions along the coasts of Spain, Portugal and France.
Heritage Discoverer’s maiden 2027-28 Season launch sale starts today, offering guests and agents savings of 20% on all berths and an additional bonus 10% discount for returning guests on bookings made by 31 August 2026.
