MSC cruise ship bound for Ibiza helps rescue vessel in distress
An MSC Cruises ship helped rescue people from a vessel in distress. Spanish authorities asked MSC Musica to assist the nearby vessel on July 31, the cruise line told USA TODAY.
The ship was on its way to Ibiza at the time.
The ship departed from Valencia on July 30 as part of a Mediterranean cruise, according to CruiseMapper.
“The ship dispatched a tender boat to the vessel to provide the occupants with medical care and support,” MSC said in an emailed statement.
