More than a dozen passengers on board a river cruise sailing through Vienna, Austria, were reportedly injured after the ship struck a lock gate.
The MS Anna Katharina, owned by Scylla AG, was sailing on the Danube River when the incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. local time on Friday, July 24, according to CruiseHive, The Maritime Executive and CruiseMapper.
After the ship collided with the Freudenau lock wall, 14 passengers were reportedly left with minor injuries and the ship’s bow was significantly damaged.
