Royal Caribbean Reaches Major Milestone on New Oasis-Class Ship
Just one day after Royal Caribbean celebrated the delivery of its latest Icon-class ship, Legend of the Seas, the cruise giant marked an altogether different milestone for its upcoming, as-yet-unnamed Oasis-class vessel.
On June 11, the cruise line commemorated the start of construction on its seventh Oasis-class ship with a traditional keel-laying ceremony at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.
The event signals the beginning of the ship’s assembly process and kicks off what is expected to be a two-year construction period before its planned 2028 debut.
