Victoria welcomes first cruise ship of 2026
James Bay was buzzing with excitement Friday, April 10, as Victoria’s first cruise ship of 2026 docked at Ogden Point.
The vessel – Holland America’s 2,100-passenger Nieuw Amsterdam – was greeted by local dignitaries there to celebrate its arrival.
“It’s a true honour to be here today as the first ship of the season to arrive in Victoria,” said Nieuw Amsterdam’s Captain Bas van Dreumel.
