This two-week adventure will navigate two of the Arctic’s most coveted destinations in one journey aboard the ice-breaker expedition ship, MV Freya, with a small group of just 12 passengers.

Setting sail in August 2027 from Svalbard’s icy fjords to Greenland’s towering icebergs and mountain landscapes, guests can experience the magic of 24-hour daylight in one of the wildest, least-visited places on Earth. Venturing deep into the polar wilderness and through the Fram Strait, there’s the chance, with a bit of luck, to spot polar bears on ice and blue whales and humpbacks as they migrate through these deep waters

“We designed this combined expedition for explorers who want a truly immersive Arctic experience with the benefits of travelling in a small and intimate group,” says Michele D’Agostino, Co-Founder of Secret Atlas.

“By connecting Svalbard and East Greenland, we’re offering a unique opportunity to explore both destinations in a single journey and navigate remote shorelines and narrow fjords that larger vessels simply cannot reach.”

The new Secret Atlas Expedition Micro Cruise for 2027 includes:

Svalbard and East Greenland Summer Micro Cruise
Departing on August 8, 2027, this expedition takes guests to both Svalbard and East Greenland, when wildlife is at its most abundant and visible, from Arctic foxes to whales, migratory birds, and polar bears. Guests will explore the landscapes of Scoresbysund, the world’s largest fjord system, and go beyond the 80° North in search of pack ice, crossing the Fram Strait and the Denmark Strait.

The expedition includes onboard accommodation, full-board meals and beverages, Starlink Wi-Fi, exploratory activities, rubber sole boots for shore landings, insulation suits and local transfers.
