Deadly fire hits cruise ship off Singapore
The pioneer cruise ship of Singapore-based cruise start-up World Cruises caught fire on Friday morning, the latest and most serious setback for the company since it launched at the end of 2025.
One crew member, an Indonesian national, has been reported killed.
The Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) said on Friday that a fire broke out on board the Liberia-registered 22,160-gt World Legacy (built 1982) while en route to Singapore.
