Carus 2026: Strong Momentum, New Customer Solutions And A Packed Avent Calendar
Carus, the global leader in digital solutions for the ferry and shipping industry, enters 2026 with strong momentum.
The company looks back at a successful year 2025, which was defined by welcoming five new clients, the commercial launch of the Carus Engage platform and several clients launching their consumer apps based on the Carus Travel App: a solution that provides ferry passengers with a seamless, “360-degree” mobile experience, from intuitive booking to digital cabin keys and access to lounges.
Furthermore, Carus successfully rolled out four brand new modules within the modern Carus Engage user interface: Reporting, Customer Management, Booking Management, and Check-in. To support its diverse international clientele, the entire UI is now fully multi-lingual, ensuring that operators across the globe can manage their daily business in their preferred language with a modern, streamlined user interface. This also applies to all customer facing modules as well as boarding scanners and self-service applications.
Carus CEO Anders Rundberg emphasizes the personal approach as a key factor for success:
“We are committed to being ‘on the spot’ for our partners, implementing our adaptable solutions together with them as one team. In 2025, we were proud to sign five new client contracts, confirming that our technology excels across a wide variety of global regions. To achieve this, it is vital to stay at the forefront of development, which is why we have invested further in our staff,” says Anders Rundberg, CEO of Carus.
Carus also looks forward to a busy year of global engagement, meeting with the “ferry family” at key industry events.
The team will be present across the globe, including the PVA Annual Meeting at the Maritrends in Covington, Kentucky (Feb 22-25), the Shippax Ferry Conference onboard the ms. Rapsody (May 5-7), the Åland Maritime Day (May 26), and the Spanish Shipping Association (ANAVE) Annual Meeting in June. The tour continues with the Canadian Ferry Association (CFA) conference in Ottawa (Sep 20-22), the Interferry conference in Bangkok (Oct 31-Nov 4), and the Ferry Shipping Summit in Athens (Oct 8-9), underscoring Carus’s role as a truly global participant rooted in the maritime tradition of the Åland Islands.
“We have been providing digital solutions for customer service in the ferry industry for more than 25 years. The reason for our success is that we are at the cutting edge of technology and always close to our customers. We look forward to meeting many old and new friends from all over the world in 2026,” concludes Anders Rundberg.
