National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions Selected As A Good Housekeeping 2026 Travel Awards Winner
National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions’ Alaska’s Inside Passage itinerary has been named a winner of Good Housekeeping’s 2026 Travel Awards.
The full list of awards can be found on goodhousekeeping.com/travel2026.
The eight-day Alaska’s Inside Passage voyage aboard National Geographic Venture or National Geographic Quest offers travelers the opportunity to explore the remote landscapes of southeastern Alaska.
Guests travel beyond traditional routes to discover hidden fjords, kayak among icebergs, and observe wildlife such as orcas and humpback whales. Each expedition is accompanied by a team of experts, including naturalists, undersea specialists, and National Geographic Certified Photo Instructors who provide scientific and cultural insights throughout the journey.
“We’re honored to be recognized by Good Housekeeping for our Alaska’s Inside Passage itinerary,” said Natalya Leahy, CEO of Lindblad Expeditions. “As we celebrate 60 years of exploration, we are reminded of the vision of Lars-Eric Lindblad, who pioneered the first non-scientific expedition to Antarctica in 1966. That journey was the catalyst for modern expedition cruising as we know it, and set the standard for the kind of purposeful, educational experiences we continue to provide today. We don’t just take people to places, we show them how to see them. That’s what makes our journeys so meaningful: authentic exploration, lifelong learning, and a shared commitment to protecting the incredible planet we call home.”
Families aboard are invited to participate in the National Geographic Explorers-in-Training program, designed to engage younger travelers in hands-on learning experiences.
Participants can document wildlife, develop photography skills, and contribute to conservation projects alongside scientists. In addition, guests of all ages can participate in Citizen Science programs, supporting ongoing research and environmental monitoring efforts in the region.
This award reflects National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions’ decades-long legacy of innovation and stewardship that continues to guide each voyage, offering travelers of all ages experiences that combine discovery, learning, and a deeper connection to the natural world.
