The new head of Princess Cruises in Asia Pacific has pledged to push for more ships in the region and is calling on governments to work together to remove regulatory hurdles and high costs.
Matthew Rutherford, recently appointed Vice President for Asia Pacific, told Cruise Critic that his priority is to make Australia, New Zealand and Asia more attractive to cruise lines — and ensure the region can compete with destinations like the Caribbean and Mediterranean for ship deployments.
