Holland America Line reimagines old cruise ship carpets
Cruise ship carpets don’t last forever — or do they? Holland America Line is upcycling its old carpets into coasters, which are now available as cruise souvenirs sold onboard.
HAL has produced 12,000 coasters so far with carpets from three vessels collected in the last two years.
But the cruise line isn’t stopping at coasters. HAL also plans to turn carpet into notebooks, postcards, door signs, artwork and more.
