Ambassador Cruise Line launches 2027/28 season featuring inspiring itineraries and ‘Buy One, Get One Half Price’ booking offer. Ex-UK Programme for sailings from 24 March 2027 through 14 April 2028
Ambassador Cruise Line is launching its 2027/28 season at 9am on Thursday 26 June, which will see the affordable quality cruise line continue to offer guests the ‘warmest welcome at sea’ on sailings from 24 March 2027 through to 14 April 2028.
Presented in a 116-page, A4 landscape glossy brochure, which is available to view in a Flipbook here or download here – with print copies to be sent to Ambassador database subscribers and valued trade partners towards the end of the month – the new season features no-fly sailings from London Cruise Terminal, Newcastle, Dundee, Liverpool, Belfast, Bristol Royal Portbury and Portsmouth.
Offering guests the convenience of embarking on their next adventure from a port that’s close to home, the geographical spread of Ambassador’s departure gateways have been chosen to make sailings even more accessible to a broad section of the population.
With more ex-UK departures than any other cruise line, the season includes 32 sailings and four Festive Events on Ambience and 43 sailings aboard Ambition. In total, the Ambassador fleet will sail 75 itineraries and call at 131 ports – 10 of which are new – in 41 countries across three continents, while travelling more than 140,000 nautical miles
From longer durations to the Mediterranean to European city breaks, themed cruises to sailings that take in the Northern Lights and a Solar Eclipse, 2027/28 will see Ambience set sail for a fifth season accompanied by her sister ship, Ambition, embarking on her fourth year of itineraries.
Adult Only Sailings
Each sailing in the new season has been conceived to celebrate Ambassador’s smaller ships and the opportunities they provide to offer guests the perfect blend of adventure, relaxation and cultural immersion.
Furthermore, the new season will be the first where every itinerary will be adult-only following a decision to remove multi-generational cruises from the Ambassador offering. This follows extensive guest feedback, which will allow Ambassador to create a calm, adult-focussed community at sea across all sailings, even during school holidays.
Season Overview
Ambassador’s no-fly sailings for the 2027/28 season includes a wide choice of authentic sailings for the over 50s market. Destinations range from the British Isles to the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and the Americas – without forgetting Scandinavia, where guests can visit the breathtaking Norwegian World Heritage fjords, courtesy of Ambassador’s small-to-mid-size fleet, which is in is in the top 15% of sustainable ships worldwide.
Itinerary highlights include the Mediterranean Moments & Solar Eclipse sailing aboard Ambition departing from Dundee on 27 July 2027 for 19 nights. From discovering the art of port making in Oporto to witnessing the solar eclipse in Gibraltar on 7 August, this cruise also takes in the best of Spain with stops in Almeria, Alicante, Valencia and Ibiza, along with a visit to the North African Spanish exclave of Ceuta.
Caribbean Sailings include Cozumel for Chichen Itza and Santa Maria where guests can visit Tayrona, the cultural heart of this UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site, while Northern Lights sailings take guests on a journey to the Arctic Circle during late autumn and winter, offering the chance to witness the awe-inspiring Aurora Borealis.
Two Christmas and New Year sailings offer a festive escape to key Mediterranean and North African destinations: the Christmas & New Year Voyage to Canaries & Madeira departing on 20 December 2027 for 17 nights aboard Ambition, calling at Santiago de Compostela, the Canary Islands and Morocco, with Christmas Day at sea and New Year’s Day in Gibraltar; and the Yuletide Sunshine: Canaries & Moroccan Coast Discovery on board Ambience, which sets sail on 21 December 2027 for 17 nights and takes in Casablanca, Tenerife, Lanzarote, and Gran Canaria, with New Year’s Day in Gibraltar.
The season will also feature a range of shorter sailings lasting from 1 to 4 nights taking in the British Isles and Northern Europe; themed cruise getaways including a Tribute to the 90’s, Battle of the Bands and Party Nights; and Christmas Market cruises. Ambience will also host four Festive Events at Ambassador’s home port of London Cruise Terminal in Tilbury, Essex on 10, 11, 17 & 18 December. Perfect for Perfect for family or friends, these events offer guests the chance to enjoy a delicious five-course lunch or dinner, followed by a spectacular show, with an overnight stay including breakfast the next morning
Destination Experiences
Itineraries have been curated to ensure Ambassador provides Destination Experiences that will allow guests to truly discover the rich culture, history and natural beauty of the places they visit in 2027/28. Offering a variety of excursions designed to appeal to all tastes and budgets, these include ports of call to St. Mary’s in the Isles of Scilly, gateway to the world famous Tresco Abbey Garden; Norway’s Flam, to experience the world’s most scenic railway journey aboard the Flam Railway; St. John’s in Antigua, for the opportunity to take a unique helicopter ride above the Montserrat Volcano; and Cozumel in Mexico, which offers guests the opportunity to visit the ancient Mayan ruins of Chichén Itzá.

To mark the launch of the new season, which runs from 24 March 2027 through to 14 April 2028, guests making a booking between 26 June 2025 and 30 September will benefit from some amazing early booking incentives. These include:
Buy One, Get One Half Price
Ambassador is offering Buy One, Get One Half Price on all sailings in the 2027/28 season, subject to availability. The offer will be shown upon booking, with the first guest at full price and second guest travelling for half that amount.
50% off Premium Drinks Packages on Ambassador Fares
As well as the Buy One, Get One Half Price offer, guests looking to enjoy Ambassador’s Premium Drinks Package – the Expedition Package – will receive 50% off the per day price, valid on selected sailings. This will see the price reduced from £49.95 per person per day to £24.97 per person per day when booking an Ambassador Fare. The drinks package includes premium wines, premium spirits and cocktails, as well as speciality tea and coffee, non-alcoholic drinks and gratuities.
50% off Single Fares for Solo Travellers
Solo travellers can take advantage of up to 50% off full single fares on all sailings in the 2027/28 season, subject to availability.
Great deals on Group bookings of 15 guests or more
Groups of 15 guests or more can enjoy additional benefits when booking a cruise with Ambassador, including a 5% discount on selected sailings. For groups of 25 adult guests, Ambassador will offer one additional free place (26th place), and two free places for groups of 50 adult guests (51st and 52nd places).
Group bookings also enjoy a special welcome cocktail party and preferential group dining arrangements.

Offering a unique culinary experience, these include Saffron, offering Indian gastronomy (available on both ships); Sea & Grass offers a tasting journey with seven handcrafted ‘acts’ (Ambience); and Lupino’s, which honours Michelle Lupino, a colleague who sadly passed away in 2023 and celebrates her Italian heritage with Mediterranean-inspired dishes (on Ambition). For the ultimate culinary experience, the Chef’s Table, which is available on both ships, offers a VIP multi-course dining experience hosted by the Executive Chef, complete with a tour of the galley.
Refer a Friend Scheme
Ambassador rewards both new and returning guests through the Refer a Friend scheme. For each friend referred who has never sailed with the company before, up to £250 of onboard credit per cabin can be claimed, with the referred friend receiving the same amount. When the referred friend books for the first time, both guests will receive onboard credit based on the length of the sailing. A £50 onboard credit is awarded for bookings of 7-14 nights, £100 for bookings of 15-30 nights, £150 for bookings of 31-50 nights and £250 for bookings of 50 nights or more.
