Virgin Voyages and Nicky Jam Spread the Love with Exclusive “Jam At Sea” Partnership
Virgin Voyages today announced an unexpected collaboration with recent Virgin Records signee & Latin Grammy-nominated reggaeton superstar Nicky Jam.
The pair are launching “Jam at Sea,” an exclusive line of gourmet fruit preserves available only aboard Virgin Voyages’ ships.
The first flavor to hit breakfast tables on-board will be “BransonBerry,” a luxurious blend of premium strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries with a hint of Champagne, personally taste-tested and approved by Sir Richard Branson himself.
“As a proud Englishman, I know my way around proper jam and scones,” said Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group. “When I discovered Nicky’s passion wasn’t just for dropping beats but also for fruit preserves, I knew we had to collaborate. BransonBerry is absolutely smashing on our breakfast pastries!”
The limited-edition preserves will be served alongside Virgin Voyages’ famous afternoon tea service and available for purchase as exclusive on-board souvenirs.
“My name has always worked double duty,” said Nicky Jam with a smile. “I can make a crowd jam to my music, and now I can help them jam on their toast, too. It’s all about spreading good vibes, whether through speakers or on scones. This partnership with Richard lets me play with both meanings of ‘jam’ in the most delicious way possible.”
Nicky Jam added, “It’s actually a full-circle moment for me. I started rapping at 12 while working my first job at a supermarket in Puerto Rico. Back then, I was stocking shelves with preserves – now I’m creating my own line! Though it can get confusing when someone wants to meet for a ‘jam session’… I always have to ask if they’re bringing toast.”
Virgin Voyages’ Sailors can experience the new BransonBerry Jam during afternoon tea service beginning April 1 on all ships in the award-winning fleet.
