Costa Cruises’ Music Cruise 2025, a journey across the Mediterranean inspired by the world’s most iconic festivals, will take place from 8 to 16 February
Costa Cruises will once again be in Sanremo, during Italy’s most electrifying music week, this year with an unmissable music-themed cruise-event.
From 8 to 16 February, Costa Cruises’s Music Cruise 2025 will take place, an extraordinary cruise entirely dedicated to music and the world’s most famous festivals, which will pass through the most iconic locations in the Mediterranean, offering a unique experience on board the Costa Toscana, the fleet’s flagship.
With an innovative concept, each day of the cruise will be dedicated to a different music festival, celebrating different genres and styles through live performances, interactive activities, workshops, sparkling aperitifs and unforgettable parties with international guests, all with a musical theme. New features this year include Radio Deejay’s ‘Deejay Time’ for the opening night and the highly anticipated return of Gigi D’Agostino with an exclusive Valentine’s Day party.
The cruise will start on Saturday 8 February from Savona, and as the ship heads towards Sanremo, the Warm-up Sound Party will ignite the underground atmosphere with the vibes of indie rock and alternative pop, creating an urban and modern mood.
The arrival in the Bay of Sanremo, on Sunday 9 February morning, will give guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere of the city of flowers, exploring the picturesque villages of the Riviera and the charming old town centre of Sanremo, in the unique atmosphere of the most important week for Italian music.
Upon returning to the ship, the musical journey will officially kick off with the Grand Opening ‘Waves of Music’, the exclusive Sea Destination conceived for this cruise, an extraordinary event that will light up the Bay of Sanremo with a musical fireworks display and an evocative dancing light show on the sea – realised in collaboration with the Municipality of Sanremo – culminating in an electrifying party.
To make the evening even more special, the participation of Albertino, Fargetta, Molella and Prezioso, the legendary ‘Fab 4’ of Radio Deejay, who will bring on board their ‘Deejay Time’, an unmissable show in the evocative Colosseum of Costa Toscana to kick off this extraordinary experience.
On Monday morning, after leaving Sanremo, the ship will set sail for Barcelona, giving passengers a day of sailing under the banner of punk and rock energy, with workshops and performances leading up to the Underground Fest.
On the evening of Tuesday 11 February, arrival in Barcelona, where guests will be able to explore the city, among the works of Gaudí and the lively atmospheres of the local neighbourhoods. Back on board, the experience will continue with the Sea Destination ‘Sea of Stars’: in the darkest part of the Balearic Sea, the starry sky will be transformed into a natural spectacle. The evening will culminate with a boho-spirited event that mixes pop and hip-hop music with an artistic and urban atmosphere.
Wednesday 12 February will see the arrival in Marseille, where guests will discover the treasures of Notre-Dame de la Garde and ‘Le Panier’ district. Awaiting guests on board is an evening with a futuristic theme of light and sound, celebrating electronic music with spectacular settings and sweeping rhythms.
Thursday 13 February is the turn of Civitavecchia, where passengers will be able to experience the magnificence of the Eternal City, Rome, before returning on board and being enveloped by the nuances of pop and folk music to celebrate the Mediterranean and its natural beauty.
Starting at 11pm, passengers will experience another memorable Sea Destination with the ‘Cetacean Sanctuary’ experience, where a fascinating light show will project guests into the mysterious world of the most extraordinary sea creatures. This will be followed by an evening dedicated to the summer of ‘69, with psychedelic sounds, jam sessions and a vibrant hippie atmosphere that will accompany the last days on the beautiful Riviera dei Fiori.
On Friday 14 February, Costa Toscana will be back in Sanremo, where, to make the Valentine’s Day evening even more magical, will be the return of dance legend Gigi D’Agostino for an exclusive live show, which will take Toscana’s guests on an unrepeatable musical journey.
The Music Cruise will end in grand style on Saturday night, with a glamorous and elegant party, giving guests an all-Italian celebration.
Also confirmed this year is the partnership with the Sanremo Festival, which will include an exceptional performance on board the Costa Toscana, on Saturday 15 February, in a live connection with the most eagerly awaited Italian music event of the year.
