Cunard’s Queen Anne prepares for naming ceremony
Cunard’s new ship Queen Anne will be officially named at a ceremony in Liverpool later. The cruise line’s 249th ship sailed into the River Mersey, escorted by fire tugs, at 07:00 BST.
It will be berthed at the city’s cruise terminal before a ceremony at the Pier Head at 16:00. Crowds are expected to gather on the waterfront for the event, which will also see a performance from tenor Andrea Bocelli.
