Cruise ships generate over $1 million despite cancelations – Bar Harbor

Volatile weather conditions this year led to the cancelation of 11 cruise ship arrivals, but despite cancelations, 125 ships still made it to port of the 136 original bookings.

The ships that arrived as scheduled had a total passenger capacity of 238,620 passengers.

The town generated $1,167,905 in revenue during the 2023 cruise ship season, which stretched from May to November. The total amount includes $995,317 in the 2024 fiscal year that began July 1, 2023.
