Newcastle to welcome more cruise ships than ever before

The arrival of Brilliance of the Seas in Newcastle on Saturday means the summer cruise season is officially underway.

It’s one of 16 ships set to roll into the city this season, sailing into the Harbour with over 2500 passengers onboard.

The arrival signals the commencement of a new 10-year licence agreement between Port Authority and the Port of Newcastle, promising more transit cruise ship visits for the Hunter and Central Coast regions in the years to come.
