A-ROSA SENA celebrates one year anniversary. A-ROSA River Cruises reports over 650 children have sailed on her
Since her maiden voyage on the Northern Rhine, A-ROSA SENA has departed Cologne over 40 times using the ship’s innovative hybrid propulsion system which enables battery powered, almost emission free sailing for up to 45 minutes when coming into and out of ports.
In addition, the line reports that since A-ROSA SENA began sailing, she has welcomed over 650 children on board, with many more expected as this season continues.
Jörg Eichler, CEO of A-ROSA River Cruises comments: “A-ROSA SENA is unlike anything seen before on the rivers of Europe and sets the standard for our next generation of ships. She has had an incredible year already and her unrivalled sustainability credentials show how serious we are on our course towards a sustainable future.”
“In the last year, guests of all ages have been enjoying her unique facilities, many of which have never been seen on a river cruise ship before. It is fascinating that over 650 children have been introduced to river cruising onboard A-ROSA SENA and with the key school holidays approaching, this number will just continue to grow.”
A-ROSA SENA is a ship of many firsts including spacious family cabins sleeping up to five, a dedicated Kids Club room, a separate children’s pool on the sundeck and a host of pioneering technology as part of A-ROSA’s sustainability journey towards protecting the rivers, sceneries and destinations for the future generations. A-ROSA will become the first river cruise line to offer swimming lessons onboard one of its ships in August, thanks to a partnership with Wasserlust Swimming School.
Eichler adds: “A-ROSA SENA really is one-of-a-kind, and we had some amazing feedback from our guests on board during the first season, with 95% of guests stating they were satisfied or very satisfied with their trip. It is also wonderful to hear how children have embraced river cruising and all that it offers as a family holiday option.”
A-ROSA SENA sails on the Northern Rhine visiting cities such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Dordrecht. She also offers festive sailings and themed cruises in March and November.
