Second cruise cancelled as Queen Mary 2 faces ‘extended stay’ in port
A second cruise has been cancelled as works to repair a technical fault aboard Queen Mary 2 continue. Cunard’s flagship ocean liner was due to depart for New York on Sunday but the voyage had to be cancelled due to a technical issue.
As yesterday’s transatlantic crossing could not go ahead, the return voyage has now been cancelled too.
A Cunard spokesperson said: “Cunard has advised that due to a technical issue which needs to be resolved prior to sailing voyage M310/A on Queen Mary 2 to New York has been cancelled. As a result of this, voyage M311/A from New York has also been cancelled.”
