SNP Government charter second cruise ship for Ukrainian refugees as Sponsor Scheme in chaos. The Scottish Government has chartered the M/S “Ambition”
A second cruise ship will be used to house Ukrainian refugees arriving in Scotland. The Scottish Government will charter the ship M/S “Ambition”, to be located on the River Clyde in Glasgow.
Ministers said the ship will be fully operational by September and will provide accommodation for up to 1,750 people. It will join the MS Victoria, currently docked in Edinburgh, which is serving as accommodation for between 1,600 and 1,700 refugees.
