Riviera River Cruises Offers New Croatian Yacht Cruise for 2023

The Mendula offers the authentic experience of a classic sailing shipSail the glistening waters of the Adriatic Sea and anchor in picturesque ports along Croatia’s dazzling Dalmatian coast on a new yacht cruise available in 2023 from Riviera River Cruises.

On the Split, Hvar and the Delights of Dalmatia Yacht Cruise, guests will board the twin-masted “MS Mendula” and visit the Mediterranean landscape of Brač, lush Hvar, forested Korčula, remote Vis and pretty Solta, as well as medieval Trogir and Split, Croatia’s second-largest city.

Along the way, stop in idyllic, unspoiled locations to swim from the platform at the back of the ship. The eight-day cruise is available May through October and includes seven nights of yacht accommodations, daily breakfast, five lunches, two dinners and seven guided tours and visits, starting at $2,409 per person based on double occupancy.

“When we started selling our Croatian yacht cruises in the North American market last year amid the pandemic, they quickly became a popular booking,” said Marilyn Conroy, Riviera River Cruises’ Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing North America. “For 2023, we have a new itinerary that sails the Adriatic aboard a magnificent twin-masted yacht, as well as departure dates for the rest of our itineraries there. And as with our European river cruises, we only accept bookings for yacht cruises from travel advisors, referring consumers’ business back to you when they inquire with us.”

The new Split, Hvar and the Delights of Dalmatia Yacht Cruise begins and ends in Split, and includes a guided tour of the Emperor Diocletian’s monumental palace.

Additional tours and visits include:

> Exploring Brač by all-terrain vehicle, with a visit to a masonry school and an olive oil museum.
> Visit to the delightful medieval harbor town of Postira.
> Visit to Bol and its enchanting old town.
> Guided tour of picturesque Jelsa, nestled in a pretty bay.
> Guided walking tour of Korčula, a perfectly preserved medieval port.
> Guided tour of Vis, with its gorgeous harbor and spectacular mountain backdrop.
> E-bike tour of Hvar and its delightful old town, with the majestic St. Stephen’s Square.
> Exploring Trogir, with its web of winding medieval streets.

Aboard the MS Mendula, lie back in the sun on the deck or swim in crystal clear waters at stops along the way.

The Mendula offers the authentic experience of a classic sailing ship with the comfort and glamor of a modern-day private yacht. Just 15 cabins are available for 30 guests, featuring either a double bed or twin beds, dressing table and chair, wardrobe, bathroom with shower, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi.

In addition to yacht cruises in Croatia, Riviera River Cruises offers 20 itineraries on 10 European rivers and waterways, including exclusive departures for solo travelers with no single supplement and holiday season cruises. Riviera’s fleet of 11 world-class river cruise ships is one of the youngest in Europe, with spacious cabins and suites, and its cruises include fine culinary experiences, from splendid breakfasts to four-course dinners featuring regional and international specialties, as well as expert-led excursions to classic sights and lesser-known places.
