Meyer Weft Delivers “Disney Wish” in Bremerhaven, Germany Expanding Disney Cruise Line’s Fleet to 5 Ships
Today (June 8, 2022), in Bremerhaven, Germany, Meyer Werft delivered the “Disney Wish” to Disney Cruise Line closing the book on the ship’s construction journey.
Construction of the 5th Disney Cruise Line ship began in early 2020 with the construction of the floating engine room unit at the Neptun Weft shipyard followed with the ceremonial keel laying on April 8, 2021.
In early February, the Disney Wish was floated out at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg before her conveyance on the river Ems to Eemshaven where she has been docked while the final work was completed along with a series of sea trial.
