The debut ship from Ambassador Cruise Line delivers low-cost luxury
The sun was beaming over Tilbury as I made my way to Ambience, the debut ship from Ambassador Cruise Line. Gazing around the three-deck Centre Court Atrium, I took in green, sailor-striped sofas and abstract artwork.
I was expecting an English-country-cottage feel to the ship; this backdrop was more akin to Tuscany.
That said, Ambience is full of odes to Britishness. The Purple Turtle Pub would be at home on an English high street, for example, while SW19 is a nod to the UK’s biggest tennis tournament.
