Cruise specialists to reunite as CLIA LIVE returns in 2022
Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced the return of its CLIA LIVE education series, allowing travel agent members to reunite for in-person training across Australasia.
New dates have been confirmed for an initial series of two-day events to be held in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney, with further events in Perth and Auckland to be announced later in the year.
CLIA LIVE offers a two-day seminar program in which representatives from the world’s ocean, river and expedition cruise lines gather in the one forum to share product insight. The events suit both new-to-cruise travel agents as well as more experienced cruise specialists looking to update their knowledge.
CLIA Australasia Director of Membership & Events Marita Nosic said past CLIA LIVE events had sold out quickly and were among the most popular initiatives in the CLIA education program.
“CLIA LIVE gives travel agent members an opportunity to learn about multiple cruise lines in the one place at the one time, allowing them to gain the latest product insight across the entire cruise spectrum,” Ms Nosic said.
The theme of CLIA LIVE 2022 will be “What’s New?”, with participating cruise lines outlining their most recent on-board innovations and enhancements, as well as their new health and safety requirements and protocols.
CLIA LIVE 2020 will be held on the following dates:
Melbourne – Wednesday 27 April and Thursday 28 April, Oaks Melbourne on Market
Adelaide – Wednesday 11 May and Thursday 12 May, Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide
Brisbane – Tuesday 24 May and Wednesday 25 May 2022, Sofitel Brisbane Central
Sydney – Wednesday 1 June and Thursday 2 June 2022, Rydges World Square
Tickets are available to CLIA members only and cost A$50+GST per day, with the option to attend one or both days. CLIA will award 30 accreditation points per day to all attendees.
