Emerald Cruises Welcomes Guests Back to Europe in July with Douro, Rhine and Danube River Sailings

The 112 berth Emerald RadianceEmerald Cruises will be welcoming US guests back to their award-winning river cruises on the Douro, Danube and Rhine Rivers starting this July.

As previously announced, the first Douro River sailing will depart Porto on July 31, while the first newly announced Rhine River sailing will depart Basel, Switzerland on August 19, and the first Danube River sailing departs Nuremberg, Germany on August 30.

In total, Emerald Cruises is expecting to operate no fewer than 38 river cruises in Europe between July and December, 2021.

For guests who book their 2021 Danube, Rhine or Douro River cruise by August 31, Emerald Cruises is offering savings of up to $2,000 per couple, with reduced, refundable deposits, and free single supplements. New 2021 bookings on these newly announced sailings are fully refundable should Emerald Cruises need to suspend sailing.

On the Rhine River, Emerald Cruises will be sailing the eight-day Jewels of the Rhine itinerary between Basel and Amsterdam, and for guests looking for a longer getaway, the 15-day Splendours of Europe will sail between Amsterdam and Budapest in the fall.

A variety of eight-day Danube itineraries will also sail through fall including Danube Delights between Nuremberg and Budapest, Danube Explorer between Passau and Budapest, and Enchantment of Eastern Europe between Bucharest and Budapest. In late November, Emerald Cruises will offer several of their popular Christmas Market sailings, with eight-day offerings on the Danube and Rhine as well as a longer, 15-day Christmas Markets of Europe between Budapest and Amsterdam.

No matter which itinerary guests book, they can cruise with complete confidence knowing that Emerald Cruises’ dedicated Health & Safety Steering Committee ensures all guests’ wellbeing and safety is taken care of to the highest standard. All guests must be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to departure. The company is working closely with CLIA and local governments to ensure operations adhere to all necessary guidelines.
