Starting in St. Petersburg, guests can explore the Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood, the world-famous Hermitage Museum and Palace Embankment on a guided city tour. A shashlik lunch—similar to shish kabob—in the picturesque village of Mandrogi is followed by a tour of the small island of Kizhi situated on Lake Onega. For those with a little more time, a 12-day alternative of the above itinerary is also available, offering up more time to explore the Imperial Capital of St. Petersburg.
Guests can use the additional day to explore the busting hub of arts and culture with highlights including the famous Kirov Ballet Centre of the Mariinsky Theatre, the renowned Peter and Paul Cathedral and the historic Tavrichesky Palace. Prices start at $7,195 CAD per person.
MS Nizhny Novgorod, which was refurbished in 2019, offers a selection of on-board amenities including the Volga restaurant serving Russian-influenced dining and the Panorama Bar offering stunning views of the passing scenery. Guests have the choice of three cabin styles—Suite, Double Deluxe Cabin and Twin Cabin—all equipped with large windows for enjoying the view at any time of the day.
