Costa Cruises Sponsors The Italy Pavilion At Expo 2020 Dubai
The Italy Pavilion is heading to EXPO 2020 Dubai on board Costa Cruises ships. Next winter, a Costa ship will offer cruises from Dubai, allowing Italian and international guests to visit the Italy Pavilion
The agreement between the Italian company and the Commissioner for Italy at Expo Dubai 2020 was signed last week in Civitavecchia, on board the “green” flagship Costa Smeralda, by Mario Zanetti, President of Costa Cruises, and Commissioner Paolo Glisenti, in the presence of the UAE Ambassador in Italy, H.E. Omar Obaid Alshamsi.
The event saw the extraordinary participation of the artist Annalisa.
The agreement is further step in the restart of Costa cruises, and more generally in the overall recovery of tourism, and it will also allow to present our country and its wonders to an Italian and international audience, promoting the values of sustainable development expressed by the Italy Pavilion at Expo Dubai.
To allow its Italian and international guests to experience the Expo and visit the Italy Pavilion, over the next winter, from December 17, 2021 until mid-March 2022, Costa will position in the Arabian Gulf its new ship Costa Firenze, built by Fincantieri in Marghera and dedicated to the Florentine Renaissance.
The week-long cruises will visit the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Oman, with calls at Abu Dhabi, Doha, Muscat and a multi-day long stop in Dubai. Specific packages to allow visits to the Italy Pavilion and the Expo will be made available for guests to offer the best possible experience.
