On Thursday, May 20, MSC Cruises departs Southampton on the UK’s first so-called “staycation” cruise, restricting her calls to UK ports only, meanwhile new UK operator Ambassador Cruise Line has announced that it will acquire the 1,400-berth Ambience, and The Cruise People will be using in its office, London shopfront, blog and customer email campaigns.

On Thursday, May 20, MSC Cruises departs Southampton on the UK’s first so-called “staycation” cruise, restricting her calls to UK ports only. On her first cruise she will call at Portland, Dorset, port of call for the Jurassic Coast.
Between May 20 and August 11, Virtuosa will be making 23 such UK-only cruises, from Southampton, Liverpool and Greenock, remaining entirely in UK waters.
Unlike other cruise lines, MSC will be allowing passengers to go ashore on their own and they will not be requiring vaccinations as long as passengers are covered by the required tests, including one on boarding. This is the modus operandi used on MSC’s Med cruises.

Ambassador Cruises Replaces CMV At Tilbury

New UK operator Ambassador Cruise Line has announced that it will acquire the 1,400-berth Ambience, the former P&O Australia ship Pacific Dawn, to cruise out of the UK .
The product will be no-fly ex-UK cruises and many of CMV’s executives have now joined the new line. The Ambience will make her maiden voyage from Tilbury on April 6, 2022.
Ambassador is funded by the London private equity house Njord Partners. And rumours are about that the one-ship cruise line may soon be expanded.
