The launching of the polar expedition ship Ultramarine contracted with the US company Quark Expeditions, a member of Travelopia Group at the Brodosplit shipyard (Split, Croatia) under the build number 487.

The ship is 128 meters long, 21.5 meters wide and weighting 13500 gross tons and will accommodate 200 passengers in spacious cabins and public spaces and it features two helipads.

Built to meet the demands and sensitivities of the Polar Regions. In a league of her own, Ultramarine combines leading-edge technology and advanced safety systems to optimize the polar expedition experience. And, in keeping with Quark Expeditions’ Polar Promise sustainability framework, Ultramarine will include technical features that will minimize the ship’s environmental footprint to an extent previously unseen for a vessel of this size.
