Silversea’s newest expedition ship, “Silver Origin”, begins sea trials

Silver Origin (Courtesy De Hoop Shipyard)Yesterday, at 9AM the Silver Origin, De Hoop Shipyard yard number 489, departed from her fitting out quay in Schiedam to go on sea trials.

The full trial programme is planned to be three days. The all-suite, 100-guest ship touched water for the first time on December 30, 2019.

When Silver Origin welcomes travelers in the Galapagos Islands she will be the most elegant ship to ever sail the region. Guests traveling aboard Silver Origin will journey in a luxurious enclave of ocean-view suites, sumptuous cuisine, and the personalized service of a butler.
