Norwegian Cruise Line Hosts Ultimate Champion-Ship Race with the “Gronk” and Jeff Gordon Aboard Norwegian Encore in Miami

Yesterday, Feb. 2, 2020, former American football tight end Rob Gronkowski and auto racing champion Jeff Gordon, competed on the largest racetrack at sea aboard Norwegian Encore, the newest innovative ship of the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet.

After three laps across the over 1,100-foot track and 11 thrilling turns, Gronkowski hit Gordon from behind, spinning him out, to narrowly claim the win!

As part of a recent partnership with JUST Goods, Inc., Norwegian Encore is the first ship in the Company to be single-use plastic beverage bottle free. By Jan. 1, 2020 Norwegian Cruise Line will be the first major cruise line to eliminate single-use plastic beverage bottles across its entire fleet, a significant effort towards providing guests with more sustainable options at sea.

Norwegian Encore is currently offering seven-day voyages to the Eastern Caribbean from Miami beginning Nov. 24, 2019; Bermuda, and Canada and New England itineraries from New York City beginning Apr. 22, 2020; voyages to the Western Caribbean from Miami beginning Dec. 12, 2020; and in the spring of 2021 will make her West Coast debut and sail to Alaska from Seattle.
