CLIA To Host New-to-cruise Workshops Next Year For First Time Ever
CLIA UK & Ireland will host new-to-cruise workshops for its travel agent members from next year, with the first taking place on 27 and 28 May.
The brand new workshops are part of a range of measures from CLIA UK & Ireland to support agents who may be selling cruise for the first time.
The announcement was made during the CLIA Cruise360 event in Valletta, Malta. The workshops will take the form of ‘classroom style’ training, with practical advice given by experts within the industry. There will also be speakers but the emphasis will be on training agents to feel confident and knowledgeable when selling cruise.
Andy Harmer, CLIA UK & Ireland director said: “A key aim for CLIA is that agent members who are new to the cruise world feel supported and are given a comprehensive overview of the industry, from ocean and river, to luxury and expedition.
