Adventure Canada Partners with Ocean Wise Seafood: Feast on hand line harvested Atlantic cod from Fogo IslandAdventure Canada announces new partnership with Ocean Wise Seafood, a program of the Ocean Wise Conservation Association that champions sustainable seafood recommendations, for Taste of Place.

Ocean Wise Seafood stands as a leader in the sustainable culinary space, working with restaurant, retail and supplier partners as well as consumers, in order to help them make sustainable seafood purchasing decisions for the long-term health of our oceans. Using the most recent scientific information to inform and encourage sustainable seafood purchases across the seafood supply chain, the Ocean Wise symbol is an assurance of an ocean-friendly seafood choice.

The Fogo Island Fish Company uses traditional hand line catch methods to bring a premium, Ocean Wise recommended product to the plate. Learning about best practice over a fabulous meal will provide Taste of Place participants with an impactful opportunity for dialogue, enhanced understanding of marine ecosystems and our role in food systems they can also take back home.
