Victory Cruise Lines Offers Masterful And Regional Cuisine On “Victory I” And “Victory II”
Victory Cruise Lines, a leader in cruising the Great Lakes, North American and Canadian coasts, offers guests world-class dining that celebrates the regional delicacies of the M/V Victory I and M/V Victory II’s ports of call.
Operated by American Queen Steamboat Company, Victory Cruise Lines pairs exemplary service with thoughtfully created menus, resulting in a memorable and delicious culinary experience.
Guests can enjoy sophisticated cuisine in two distinctive types of venues. Victory Cruise Lines’ classic main restaurant, The Coastal Dining Room, features elegantly plated dishes and buffet-style breakfasts and is where guests can enjoy sit-down, multi-course meals. The more casual Grille venue features spectacular water views with a buffet-style service for those looking for a quicker option. Guests can also enjoy complimentary non-premium beer, wine, spirits, tea, coffee, filtered water and soft drinks.
Menus for both the Coastal Dining Room and Grille are changed daily, with regional menu highlights including the Lake Huron Yellow Perch, served on top of potatoes and finished with an arugula salad and parsley oil drizzle, as well as the Prince Edward Island Steamed Mussels, which features traditional steamed mussels from the Canadian coast sautéed with white wine and garlic sauce and served with fresh lemon, olive oil, garlic and a baguette.
Dessert highlights include the Raspberry Millefeuille, also known as Napoleon, and the Opera Torte, which consists of layers of gâteau sponge cake, rich dark chocolate ganache and coffee mousse all served with white chocolate. The culinary team is also able to accommodate any special dietary needs, including gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan.
In addition to the two dining venues, guests can enjoy the cozy, English-style Tavern serving a variety of cocktails, beer and wine. The nearby Compass Lounge features a 24/7 coffee and espresso bar with pastries, as well as hosts internationally themed afternoon teas and a daily afternoon happy hour with passed small bites.
“Our vision is to create regionally-inspired dishes that further transport guests to the different ports of call throughout our voyages,” shares John Waggoner, president and CEO of American Queen Steamboat Company. “Our restaurants are another great opportunity for us to deliver and create elevated and singular experiences for our guests that are in line with Victory Cruise Lines and the American Queen Steamboat Company brand.”
Fares for Victory Cruise Lines’ 2020 voyage itineraries begin at $3,299 per person on board M/V Victory I and $3,799 per person on board M/V Victory II.
