New Star-Ship from Emerald Waterways set to sail in Southeast Asia – new build time-lapse video released

Emerald Harmony Time Lapse

To celebrate less than one month to go until Emerald Waterways’ brand new Star-Ship, “Emerald Harmony”, begins sailings along the Mekong River, the line has released a time-lapse video of the Star-Ship build.

To celebrate the launch, savings of up to £1,000 per person and free on-board drinks packages are available for new bookings made on selected dates until 31 August 2019.

After completing extensive sea trails at the start of July, Emerald Waterways’ latest Star-Ship will be sure to exceed guest’s expectations sailing down the Mekong River, one of South East Asia’s most majestic rivers.

Catering to just 84 guests, the chic Star-Ship provides spacious suites and public areas. The new Star-Ship includes the lines signatory Sun and Pool decks to relax on, a wellness area with spa, the Horizon Bar & Lounge, and Reflections Restaurant. Exclusive to Emerald Harmony is the Lotus Lounge, an area to relax after a day exploring on shore.

The sleek and modern Star-Ship has been custom designed to cruise in to the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, the dynamic Vietnamese city, offering river access into the heart of the city.

Emerald Harmony is the river cruise operator’s eighth Star-Ship, and the first to operate outside of Europe. Its sister Star-Ships currently sail a range of cruises along the Rhone, Douro, Rhine and Danube rivers with visits to Bulgaria, France, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Spain and Switzerland.

Emerald Waterways’ Head of Marketing UK and Global Brand Curator, David Winterton commented: “Adding Emerald Harmony to our fleet marks an important milestone as we continue to work to make our business a leading global river cruise brand.

“We are already over 90 per cent sold for the Star-Ship’s maiden sailing season. By booking now in the lead-up to the launch, guests can enjoy some amazing savings and know they will be among the very first people to enjoy an incredible Vietnam and Cambodia experience on board the regions newest ship.”

Guests who move fast might just be able to secure a place during its inaugural season as a limited number of cabins are still available aboard the elegant Star-Ship during its long-awaited debut Asia season.

The 15-day Majestic Mekong river cruise starts with a three-night hotel stay in Siem Reap, before joining the Emerald Harmony Star-Ship in Prek’kdam. The sailing continues through Cambodia onto Kampong Tralach and Phnom Penh before crossing into Vietnam stopping at Long Khanh and My Tho.

After disembarking Emerald Harmony, guests will enjoy a two-night hotel stay in Ho Chi Minh City before the flight home. Highlights include a visit to My An Hung village, a trip to the Killing Fields and Tourl Sleng Genocide Museum and a Phnom Penh Tuk-Tuk drive by night. Prices start from £2,995 per person (based on 10 December 2019 departure).

Prices include return flights, transfers, nights on board a Star-Ship and / or hotels as stated, all tipping and gratuities, food and selected *drinks onboard, shore excursions and exclusive onboard events and experiences.

*Drinks onboard – wine, beer and soft drinks are included with lunch and dinner. Complimentary tea and coffee is available throughout the sailing.
