Mallorca campaigners want €5 tax on cruise ships entering Palma – and just two ships a day allowed entry

Palma de MallorcaCAMPAIGNERS in Mallorca are calling for a halt on the number of cruise liners pulling into the capital’s port by limiting them to just two a day – and charging passengers a tourist tax of €5 (£4.37) a night. The newly imposed sustainable tourism tax is already causing controversy after the Balearic Government increased it by 100 per cent from May 1 until October 31. (thesun.co.uk)
