High Water Levels Strand Montreal-Bound Cruise Ship On St. Lawrence River
An Oceania cruise ship bound for Montreal became stranded Tuesday in Trois-Rivères, Quebec, when the swollen St. Lawrence River prevented the ship from passing beneath a local bridge. The crew of the 1,200-passenger MS Marina was forced to unload passengers and bus them the 140 miles to their final port of call, Montreal, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reported.
