Join Wild Earth Travel aboard the legendary tall ship, Sea Cloud
This October, Wild Earth Travel is escorting an exclusive cruise from Auckland, bound for the jewels of the Mediterranean aboard luxury private yacht Sea Cloud.
Guests get to experience the old style charm and grandeur of the luxury windjammer with Mediterranean- wind beneath its sails, around destination highlights from Barcelona around the beautiful Balearic Islands before sailing to Valencia.
As well as this voyages glamorous itinerary the Sea Cloud is truly the real hero here. This grand dame has been carefully restored with the same charm and glory that millionaire couple Marjorie Weather Post and Edward Hutton originally commissioned in 1931.
Proudly flaunting its original marble fireplaces, golden taps, teak wood benches and select antiques there is certainly no shortage of extravagance on board.
Currently the world’s oldest ocean-going passenger ship it is an exhibition of the art true sailing.
Guests will enjoy century old rituals as they witness crew climb the masts, setting sails by hand and ringing orders from the decks.
With many atmospheric public spaces, including an ornate restaurant on the Promenade Deck that serves 4-course dinners accompanied by fine wine, and a lounge where passengers can kick back relax, and enjoy the onboard library.
Or guests can also find themselves at the Lido Bar, well known for its ambience especially when the onboard pianist is performing or the iconic Crew Shanty Choir.
Let’s not forget, sailing buffs can have an absolute field day enjoying access to the beautiful bridge where they are welcome to spend time amongst the historic nautical instruments asking the crew questions.
