Discover Greenland’s Scoresby Sund With Expedition Cruise Specialists

Wooden schooner Opal (North Sailing)Leading adventure company Expedition Cruise Specialists has announced North Sailing, an expedition cruise operator in Iceland and Greenland, has been added to their portfolio of the world’s best small ship and adventure cruises.

North Sailing operate three traditional wooden schooners (Opal, Hildur and Donna Wood), each hosting just twelve travelers, on eight day summer cruises from Constable Point deep into the heart of East Greenland’s Scoresby Sund.

Sailing in the largest and one of the most remote fjords on Earth, travelers will be surrounded by untouched natural phenomena such as glaciers, icebergs and ice crusts. Far from being your everyday cruise experience, discovering Scoresby Sund aboard North Sailing’s fleet allows guests to get up close and personal with the ice, wildlife and breathtaking scenery while traveling in the company of expert local staff and guides.

Highlights include a visit to Ittoqqortoormiit, one of the most isolated villages in the world, sailing between the Bear Islands and a hike in Harefjord scouting muskoxen and snow hares.

Eight day Experience Greenland cruises depart Constable Point (Greenland) weekly over summer between July and September each year. Prices start at €5,545 per person and include accommodation, meals, shore excursions and return charter flights from Reykjavik (Iceland) to Constable Point to start and finish the journey.
