SuperStar Virgo’s Maiden “Golden Sea Route” Voyage Garners Gold-Stars from Guests

Star Cruises has successfully completed SuperStar Virgo’s trendsetting “Golden Sea Route” maiden voyage with delightful feedback from guests of this very popular cruise.

From 6 July to 30 November, there are 21 sailings where guests can get a chance to experience this specially-designed itinerary showcasing four amazing destinations in China and Japan. With overwhelming response from the market only limited cabins are left for the summer.

This first-of-a-kind 8-day/7-night “Golden Sea Route” cruise holiday experience outclasses regular air and land travel packages, allowing guests to visit multiple destinations without the hassle of several flights and land transportations, as well as the inconvenience of packing and unpacking from different hotels.

The “Golden Sea Route” offers a variety of flexible shore excursion options, allowing guests to better appreciate the cultural and natural wonders of Osaka, Tokyo, Mount Fuji and Kagoshima, as well as enjoy more time at each destination – whether they prefer to do more shopping, savour more traditional delicacies, explore more exciting entertainment or just enjoy local life.

In addition to the comprehensive itinerary and fun-filled excursions, the “Golden Sea Route” on board experience at SuperStar Virgo incorporates Chinese and Japanese culture in its entertainment and enrichment programs, including the new “Virgo the Yoshimoto @Cruise” show, the first-ever collaboration between Star Cruises and renowned entertainment company Yoshimoto featuring traditional Manzai stand-up comedy.

Guests who joined the maiden voyage also enjoyed traditional Japanese arts and crafts including ikebana flower arrangement classes, sushi making demonstrations, origami workshops and sumo suit parties. In line with the Japanese itinerary, traditional Japanese cuisine and wagyu beef delicacies are served on-board; all guests also enjoy complimentary local snacks such as takoyaki or octopus balls.

Many children took part in the popular Junior Cruiser Program, where they enjoyed tailor-made activities and games, including cosplay and prince and princess parties, while teens joined enrichment programs such as DJ mixing and hip-hop classes.

Over 2,000 guests joined the maiden voyage, many of which shared their happy experience on social media channels, highlighting the family-friendly features of SuperStar Virgo and the fun-filled visits to various destinations.
