Brand New 360ᵒ Crystal Preview Surrounds Travelers in the Crystal Experience
Crystal has unveiled the Crystal Preview, taking guests “through the lens” of select Crystal experiences with 360-degree videos of onboard spaces and itinerary locales through interactive videos on the company’s website.
Developed with EXP360 virtual reality technology to create videos throughout Crystal Serenity and Crystal Mozart, the Crystal Preview provides an immersive peek into vessels themselves, as well as Arctic locales and experiences featured on the Northwest Passage voyage, and historic spots visit during sailings along the Danube.
From any web browser, viewers can peruse videos that showcase many spaces aboard the vessels and the destinations selected along the itineraries – several from the vantage point of adventures and experiences found in the locales.
For a truly immersive view, the Crystal Preview app allows travelers to navigate the 360-degree scope of the video with their handheld device, virtually placing them in the center of the space. Similarly, guests can use their smartphone with a virtual reality headset for a comprehensive view of any space or destination chosen.
“The new virtual reality videos are a valuable planning tool for new guests who want to know what to expect aboard their Crystal vacation, providing a sense of the luxurious spaces aboard our gorgeous vessels, as well as a taste of the culture and beauty of the locales we visit,” says Crystal’s CEO and president, Edie Rodriguez.
Travelers can access the videos directly from Crystal’s website on any web browser. Additionally, the Crystal Preview app is available for Google Play and Apple® devices, allowing viewers to download an unlimited number of 360ᵒ videos and create playlists of their favorites.
Crystal plans to expand the Crystal Preview EXP360 technology to Crystal Symphony and Crystal Esprit in the fall of 2017, highlighting Crystal Symphony’s destinations in the Mediterranean and the exclusive harbors on Crystal Esprit’s new West Indies itineraries.
